Sébastien came out of O.R. this evening. Doctors found some blood clots, but were able to remove them. The biopsy indicated some little signs of rejection, but only for the small bowel. Sébastien was given meds for that. Doctors say this is not unusual and things should improve with the meds. Sébastien's liver is functioning very well.
We would like to thank our families and friends for their amazing support, for the emails, comments, phone calls, etc... sent to us during this time in Toronto. It has been very uplifting to read through them. They are very encouraging. We would like to answer each and everyone of you but "time" doesn't permit. We are so fortunate being welcomed with open arms by Nathalie, Mike, Jacob and Uncle Roger who came from Montréal and by Father Paul and friend and many more whom we've met here on our journey.... We are so fortunate to be blessed by everyone. God bless, united in prayer,

Jasmina, Sébastien, David

Hello From Winnipeg

I just found out about the transplant and I am so happy. We have often wondered how the "little pillow boy is doing" What a wonderful color he is in the pic's now! We continue to pray for a quick uncomplicated recovery. We are also praying for the family who lost there child and gave the priceless gift of transplant. Keep up the great work and we will continue to follow your journey.

Hello Jasmina and David!
I am Lindsey's mom and have been following Sebastien's 'story' since Lindsey became involved.
Please know that I have been praying for Sebastien, declaring the Word and promises of God over him and all of you, for a long time. What a testimony all of you are, to our faith in God - the incredible perseverance and strength that only God himself can give!

My closest friend, Yvonne Derkach has dear friends, John and Cathy Shalagan, who live in Toronto, just 5 minutes from The Hospital for Sick Children. I have met this couple and they are wonderful people. Cathy is a nurse, and is very warm and caring and positive. When I met her for the first time, I felt like we were family!
When she heard about Sebastien and about you being there without family, she wanted to know what she could do to be supportive. She would love to meet you, and asked where you are staying or where Sebastien is located in the hospital, in the hope that she could get in contact with you.

My friend, Yvonne would also like to know where something could be sent to you.

Jasmina or David, could either one of you call my voice mail (it's toll free) and leave me a message with the information? If e-mail is easier, my address is: brenwhiteinc@mts.net

If you would like to call her yourself, that would be just fine.

God's Word says that He came to give Sebastien life, and give it to the FULL, and that by His stripes Sebastien is healed. We are continuing to TAKE that promise by faith, because we know that the will of God is the will of any loving parent, only moreso!
You can continue to count on my prayers for Sebastien - I will continue to declare his healing until it is complete! I am also praying for comfort for the parents of the donor, and that they would receive some encouragement in knowing that their baby has given life to another, and still lives on with Sebastien. May God richly bless them!
Even though you are far from us, we are very much involved with you in support of Sebastien.
God bless you, sweet family - you are all an inspiration to me!
With love,
Brenda White
