Back to the OR

Tonight the doctors learned that during the transplant, they slightly nicked Sébastien's diaghragm. Sébastien must return to the Operating Room for a 2 hour operation to correct the diaghragm and loosen the stitches which put pressure on the kidneys and impeded Sébastien from being able to urinate.

David and Jasmina's "Little Angel" is quite puffy and lies still in his crib. The hospital has accepted to have David and Jasmina stay for three nights, as there is an important HIV conference in Toronto and "there is no room at the Inn".

Check back here soon for pictures.

Dear David Jasmina and Sebastien

Congratulations on the transplant. We are so excited and happy for you.But its just not the same without Sebastien here on the ward. We miss his high fives. We miss Jasmina's singing. The girls even miss David's smarty pants comments. Thats not quite how they phrased it but I cleaned it up alittle. I hope someone is delivering you a newspaper. We will follow your blog so we will feel like we are right there with you. Take care you are in our prayers and our hearts. All our love and best wishes. Give Sebastien a kiss from us.

We are thrilled to hear that Sebastien got his transplant! We check your website every day for updates. It is long road ahead, but hopefully a brand new beginning for you. Our thoughts are with you...we know you are in good hands at Sick Kids.
